Tammy: I was out on the road yesterday with the Care and Share Thank You tour, with stops at Phil Long Hyundai at Chapel Hills and the Chapel Hills Mall. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to sign the banner and share their stories. So many people were affected by this fire and my heart heart goes out to those who lost there homes. I lived in Falcon for about 20 years and spent a lot of time in Black Forest...so this fire hit pretty close to my heart. It was nice to hear some of the positive stories yesterday. Stories of homes saved and of the heroic efforts of our firefighters, police and first responders. I am honored to be able to call a lot of them friends...and I have to say...they are not only exceptional in the face of disaster, but they are exceptional people in every day life as well. A simple thank you doesn't seem enough...but believe me...it means a lot to them!!! Please keep them in your heart and prayers. It's going to be a long summer for them.
