Hello, It's Jack Daniel's BLOG and boy am I tired! It's been a long year. In some ways a Great year and in other ways a Crappy year!
After this, I'll be taking a break until January 2nd (like many of you).
The election is over, Thank God!... and there was a lot of "polarization" with other BLOGS I know. I wanted desperately to have someone "NOT APPROVE THIS MESSAGE"!
Obama won and whether that made you happy or not, the right thing to do is pull for him, pull for your country to succeed as HIS failure will ultimately become YOUR failure, and only an idiot pulls for themselves to fail! Think about it?
I heard that Jack paid $3.09 this morning for gas and that's way better than hearing him bitch and moan about paying almost $4 a gallon back in May.
In 2013 I hope that Jack will give me some more cool polls and stuff because I like me some controversy! It keeps the BLOG world from getting boring. I like pictures too, blondes are nice, brunettes too... just to dress up the page. Don't do it just for me!
I'm a BLOG and even I... am without words to express the horror of what happened to those children in Newtown, CN. I know that as a BLOG, Al Gore's internet gave me life, but all this great technology that we LOVE, has to take some of the blame.
Parents park kids in front of the TV or PC at early ages and as they get old enough to start choosing their own games, they choose "realism" games of warfare where the object of the game is to shoot as many as you can with bloody realism. Each generation of these games is more bloody and more violent than the next.
After years and years of this visual bombardment, we have a generation that is "numb", "desensitized" to the value of life.
NOW, 99% of these are good kids with good parents, they grow up and out of the video game stage but know it's a game and it's not reality, they know that life does matter and for them, video game play doesn't leave lasting scars.
And then, there's that 1%, or whatever the number is that have mental illness, anger issues that have never been dealt with, who do these horrible things that leave us asking WHY? HOW?
This BLOG thinks that parents need to know a little more about these games their kids are playing and they shouldn't allowed to play them without constant supervision. Kids and teen who hold up in the bedroom constantly with the door closed are cause for concern. How much of what they're watching and doing are parents monitoring? Get you kids and teens talking. Silence was once golden, this day and age, it could be "deadly".
The problem is not absence of GOD in schools! This BLOG doesn't feel it's the school's place to present GOD to kids. That responsibility belongs to the parents. If GOD had been in the heart of the man that did this dispicable act, then he wouldn't have done it. I'm not saying either that his parent's didn't try. Accepting and following GOD is by way of Free Will, a choice, you know. If we have GOD in our hearts, then GOD is always where we are...right? and our hearts can't be regulated by any government.
There is a reason we have separation of church and state and this BLOG agrees with that. Right now in Egypt you're seeing what happens when a religion wants to run a country.
A lot to ponder for sure as one year ends and another begins. To love life is also to know sadness and this BLOG is very sad for the families, loved ones and victims involved in what happened in Newtown this Christmas.
Hug your children, teach them the value of life, and keep them safe. Ironic? We used to think that kids were safe when they were at school. Comments Welcome, "I'm a BLOG for heaven's sake".
Merry Christmas is my greeting of choice, although as a BLOG, I accept whichever one works for you as well.
