Big celeb news yesterday…the sexiest man alive is going to be the sexiest dad alive.  Channing Tatum and his wife Jenna Dewan are expecting their first child.  No other details were released, other than that Jenna is due "next year."  (--Which seems pretty obvious.)

The way the economy is now, it's probably maddening for most of you to think that someone could make $1.6 million in a calendar year and be BROKE.  But according to the HuffintonPost.com, that's what Lindsay Lohan made in 2012.  They counted up her major paychecks this year, and they include:  $1 million to pose for "Playboy"… $200,000 for her brief appearance in "Scary Movie 5"… $300,000 for the Lifetime movie "Liz & Dick" …$6,480 to star in that indie flick "The Canyons" …and that $100,000 loan from Charlie Sheen.  Add those up and it comes to a little more than $1.6 million.  But they also added up the DEBT Lindsay racked up this year.

It includes $234,000 in unpaid taxes from 2009 and 2010…$96,000 in yearly rent for her mansion…$144,000 in yearly rent on that storage locker she can't afford to pay for anymore…And then there was that $40,000 she loaned to her mother so she wouldn't lose her house.  All told, that's $514,000.   Which means that Lindsay ends the year UP almost $1.1 million.  Even if you subtract for taxes…that's more than HALF A MILLION BUCKS.  Where did it go???  Obviously, we can't answer that.  But a good chunk of it may have gone to LEGAL FEES.  The Huffington Post estimates her legal bill this year may have been AT LEAST $250,000.

Lindsay Lohan wants to make it perfectly clear – she does not do Bar Mitzvahs. The New York Post first reported that a company called 123 Talent had sent out emails offering to book Lindsay on all types of personal appearances, including weddings and Bar Mitzvahs. Well, Lindsay was fuming, with sources telling TMZ she never signed a deal with the company, and the email is a fake.  As of last night,123 still had Lindsay listed on their website, and insists they were authorized to book her for appearances, but her team has now “decided to go in another direction.”

Could it be the end of Jay Leno?   The "New York Daily News" reports that NBC executives have begun "quietly" exploring the option of giving "The Tonight Show" to Jimmy Fallon when Jay Leno’s contract expires in 2014.  Naturally, they're looking to hand the reins to someone younger…so they can attract younger viewers…and Fallon is about 25 years younger than Leno.   But the question is:  Will Leno finally be willing to leave at that point?  And if not, would NBC actually force him out…or will they just cave and keep him around until he's ready to walk away?  There's no official comment on any of this…but even if there was, it probably wouldn't mean much.   On a side note…David Letterman’s contract is also up in 2014…and apparently there's a "long unsaid understanding throughout the TV industry" that Leno won't step down before Dave does.

Some problems on the X-factor.  Despite low ratings, Fox is bringing the show back for a third season…but two judges will not return.  L.A. Reid announced he’s quitting and now it’s being reported that Britney Spears’ 1 year $15 million contract will not be renewed.  Simon Cowell hoped she would provide a boost in ratings, but that hasn’t happened.  Only 8 million viewers watched this season compared to an average of 12 million last year.  It’s also been reported that the $5 million dollar grand prize will need to be slashed next season because the show can’t afford it.

There’s been rumors of trouble with Britney Spears and her fiancé Jason Trawick.  Now that she’s leaving the “X Factor”, Jason is reportedly leaving her.  Won’t be a big shock.  They have been sleeping in separate bedrooms for a long time.  She stays in a hotel during the week…he stays in the same hotel but in a room adjacent to hers.  He’s tired of being her babysitter and just can’t see spending the rest of his life with her.

Love her or hate her, Madonna is still the material girl. Madonna’s MDNA tour was the biggest money-making tour of 2012, selling out each of its 72 dates to gross a total of $228.4 million, according to Billboard. The “Material Girl” managed to make more money than the “Boss,” Bruce Springsteen, whose 2012 trek with the E Street Band came in second, raking in $199.37 million. “Money” singer – and maker - Roger Waters of Pink Floyd’s The Wall made $186.46 million, Cirque Du Soleil’s Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour earned $147.3, and Coldplay banked $147.1 million in cold hard cash.

It sure is nice to be the daughter of a superstar couple. According to The Sun, Katie Holmes is planning to buy daughter Suri a $24,000 Victorian playhouse for Christmas.   The playhouse, sold by Sweet Retreat Kids,  comes with running water and electricity, with items like recessed lighting, sunrooms, media rooms and eat-in kitchens optional. Katie, who divorced Suri’s dad Tom Cruise in June, is also getting the 6-year-old an iPad mini, a $10,000 children’s version of a Mercedes Benz and a Chloe fur coat. And that’s just from Katie, imagine what Tom is getting her.
