It’s a new year...and we always hear fun predictions.  The New York Daily News asked psychic Ophira Edut to look into the future. She made several bold predictions for 2013.
For starters, she believes there’s a strong possibility that George Clooney will break his vow to never marry again. She added (quote) “Maturity planet Saturn is in George’s marriage house for the first time in 28 years from October 2012 to September 2015, which could suddenly make him want to settle down.
She predicts that Lindsay Lohan will finally hit rock bottom and “may formally distance herself from energy vampires and toxic people.”
She's also seeing an engagement for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. "The second half of the year could see a proposal.  DUH

Speaking of Kim and Kanye, we heard last weekend that Kim is pregnant.  Since that news broke, the next question is how the Kardashian family will market the pregnancy. Of course their reality TV show is a perfect place to keep interest high. Thankfully, for the time being, the couple has nixed ideas of a TV special Kim Gives Birth.  Grandmother-to-be Kris Kardashian has already been talking to tabloids about rights to show Kim's baby bump. The negotiations reportedly start at $300,000. Meanwhile, the couple rang in the New Year in Las Vegas, where Kim collected a six-figure fee for appearing at a club inside the Mirage Hotel and Casino.

Kate Winslet surprised everyone with her super secret wedding to Ned Rocknroll, but even more surprising than their nuptials are their honeymoon plans. Richard Branson, the owner of Virgin and Rocknroll's uncle, has gifted the couple with a flight on the Virgin Galactic, which travels to space.   For $200,000 a ticket, you get a two-hour flight 60 miles above earth, and you can experience weightlessness and view the curve of the planet.

Some tragic news surrounding Justin Bieber late yesterday.   His car was pulled over in a routine traffic stop.  A photographer had been following him and he jumped out to snap pictures and sadly was hit by an oncoming car.   Highway Patrol officers instructed the photographer to stand back because the location was on a curvy road. They advised him that the situation was unsafe. Tragically, they were proven right.
If you’re tired of hearing Gangnam Style…so is the guy who created it.  PSY claims he’ll never perform “Gangnam Style” after ending 2012 with it on New Years Eve.  He’s worried that the song is too successful.  After a billion YouTube views and millions of spins on the radio, he's anxious to retire "Gangnam Style" as soon as he writes another one. Psy told MTV (quote) "I'm really working hard on a new single right now. In America I need a new single because 'Gangnam Style' got too popular."

Exactly two years ago, XFactor judge Demi Lovato was in rehab with mascara running down her face. This week, the 20-year-old took to Twitter to reflect on how much has changed in such a short time. Her tweet said (quote) “Two years ago, I watched the ball drop on TV in rehab and cried my eyes out.” She’d been forced into detox after she assaulted a dancer on her tour. She finally came clean and also admitted to cutting herself.   Fast-forward two years, and she’s sitting next to Simon Cowell on The X-Factor. She confirms “I've spent the past two years getting over an eating disorder and issues like self-harming and bipolar disorder. Recovery is a beautiful thing friends… Life is good, God is great!”

The new season of The Biggest Loser starts Sunday (January 6th). But a new research study brings bad news for those trying to lose weight and get fit.  People who watch the show learn to fear physical fitness. Survey author Tanya Berry believes (quote) “The depictions of exercise on shows like The Biggest Loser are really negative. People are screaming and crying and throwing up, and if you're not a regular exerciser you might think exercise is this horrible experience where you have to push yourself to the extremes and the limits, which is completely wrong. We did find that the people who watched The Biggest Loser had worse attitudes about physical activity than those who watched American Idol.”
