There’s been widespread speculation that Beyonce’s Super Bowl half-time show will feature a reunion of Destiny’s Child, but now one member of the group says the rumors are not true. When asked about the upcoming performance, Michelle Williams claimed she was going to be busy doing something else on Super Bowl Sunday. She said quote “That’s not confirmed, it’s rumored. I’m going to be in the musical Fela!,” she said. “I hate to disappoint people and tell them that it’s not true.” But it appears as though Williams isn’t telling the whole truth. If you go to the Fela! website and try to buy tickets, it clearly states, “Michelle Williams will not be appearing January 31st – February 3rd,” which means she’s totally available to be at the Super Bowl.
After falling and hitting her head over inauguration weekend, Barbara Walters is now dealing with chicken pox! She never had it as a child. So now she's being told to rest. She's not allowed any visitors. And we're telling you, Barbara, no scratching
There is no doubt that George Clooney is a stand up guy. Clooney and some friends were dining at a restaurant in Berlin and were being rather boisterous. Fearing that his party may have been too loud, Clooney secretly paid the $120 tab of a man dining at a nearby table. When the stranger went to pay his bill he was informed that Clooney had covered it because he was worried his party had disturbed him. But the man said Clooney and his friends weren’t too loud at all and said they “behaved in a very cultivated manner.” It wasn’t until the man left the restaurant that he realized it was Clooney who paid the bill.
NBC continues to treat Ann Curry badly. After they booted her off the Today show, Curry has been filing reports for shows like Rock Center with Brian Williams, but sources say the network has barred her from doing any live interviews. A source said NBC will only air her taped interviews, presumably so they can edit them. Apparently NBC execs weren’t too happy when Curry refused to engage in small talk with Matt Lauer during her first return to the Today show following her August exit. Word is, she’s been trying to get out of her NBC contract so she could possibly move to CNN.
Kelly Clarkson has been quiet about her upcoming wedding, but she is now opening up about the ceremony….which will likely take place toward the end of 2013. She said they’re thinking Fall…and outside. She said “We are trying to make it small, but it’s hard. I literally had a breakdown two weeks ago about the wedding list.” She also said she’s terrified at everyone watching her walk down the aisle,”. One thing she has nailed down… her choice of entertainment at the reception. Blake Shelton will be her wedding singer for the big day. If that is not enough…her future mother-in-law, Reba McEntire has also offered her services for the reception.
Exciting news! Kim Kardashian’s mom, Kris Jenner, is getting her own daytime talk show. Finally. We're going to get to see this woman on TV! It's called "Kris", and it'll begin airing this summer… at least in big markets including L.A. and New York. This is its "test run," before it goes national. The show sounds like your typical daytime talk show, with "celebrity interviews, fashion and beauty segments, as well as other lifestyle segments." Naturally, your first question is probably: WHY? The production company says, quote, "Whether offering real advice to her family or sharing personal moments with viewers, Kris is honest, compelling, entertaining, and unscripted…all excellent qualities for a daytime talk show host."
