Happy Valentine's Day!

Steve Martin is a first-time father at the age of 67.  He and his 41-year-old wife Anne Stringfield welcomed a child back in December.  It's not clear how they kept it a secret so long.  No word on whether it's a boy or a girl.  Meanwhile, 73-year-old Tom Brokaw became a grandfather…but it's nothing new for him.  Tom's daughter Sarah gave birth to his seventh grandchild on Monday.  But it's his first Grandson.  The other six are girls.

"Maxim" magazine has named Elisha Cuthbert from "Happy Endings" TV's Most Beautiful Woman. You may also remember her from "24". Elisha says, quote, "To think that one person could be the most beautiful when there's Kaley Cuoco, Sofia Vergara, Zooey Deschanel?  They're all stunning."

Darryl Hannah, Robert Kennedy Jr and his son Connor Kennedy (who is one of Taylor Swifts recent ex’s)  were all arrested in front of the White House yesterday. They were with a group of  protesters who cuffed themselves to the White House front gates to protest the Keystone XL pipeline,  all were released on a $100 bond apiece.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West caused a little trouble at JFK yesterday. The couple had flown into JFK from Brazil and were catching a connecting flight.   Once they landed, they met up with an airline greeter who according to the TSA, allowed them to bypass a key security checkpoint to get them to their next flight as quickly as possible.  After Kim and Kanye took their seats on the plane, a TSA agent yanked them off the flight and made them go through another layer of security.  The plane was delayed for roughly an hour while they were screened.  The TSA is “actively investigating the incident.”

Meanwhile, could Kim’s star be falling?  You’d think designers would be flocking to have Kim wear their clothes considering all the publicity she’ll give them, but one stylist says that’s not the case. Nicola Formichetti, who has styled Lady Gaga, worked with Kim for a spread in Elle and says it was hard to create looks for her because many designers refused to lend clothes to Kim.  Nicola called styling Kim “a challenge.”

I think it’s safe to say that most of us were pretty happy that Tierra got the boot on the Bachelor.  Finally.  You remember on the show she once said “If I want to get engaged, I will. Men love me”  That of course didn’t happen with Sean Lowe, BUT Tierra has rebounded with another guy, and true to her words, she got the poor guy to propose.  Her fiancé is a guy she’s known for years but had a bad break up.  They rekindled their romance after her Bachelor scheming fell thru.  On the day she was eliminated, the first call she got was from him.

We told you yesterday that Lady Gaga canceled some shows because she couldn’t walk…well that has changed, she has now cancelled the rest of her tour!  Why?  She needs hip surgery!   Her doctors ran some tests, and they found that she has a "labral tear of the right hip, caused by strenuous repetitive movements in her performances."  This will require surgery to correct…plus a significant amount of rehab time.  Previously, she said she planned to make up any missed dates but it's too early to say when she might be ready to perform again.

The new season of Survivor premiered last night.  Fans Vs Favorites.  The castaways were brought in by boat and 10 returning players were brought by helicopters to being the season in the Philippines.  Francesa was the first to be eliminated.  Jeff Probst, by the way, wants to do an all-celebrity season of Survivor and Neil Patrick Harris is seriously interested!

Mila Kunis was on Ellen DeGeneres yesterday and Ellen teased her pretty mercilessly about Ashton Kutcher.  First she asked vague questions about Valentine's Day, then if Mila kept in touch with anyone from "That '70s Show"… and flashed a big picture onscreen of Mila and Ashton from the show.  But Mila never broke down and admitted to the relationship.  Meanwhile, there's tabloid talk that Ashton is back to his CHEATING ways.

We still have many awards shows to go yet…. Nominees for this year's Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards were announced yesterday…and they've pitted Taylor Swift against her ex-boyfriend Harry Styles of One Direction in the Favorite Song category.
(--Check out all the nominees here.)

The ACM nominations are also out and Eric Church leads the pack with seven.  Hunter Hayes came up big with six nods, while Taylor Swift and Miranda Lambert each got five.  Taylor and Miranda are also up for Entertainer of the Year against Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton and Jason Aldean.

And some news for the 85th Annual Academy Awards….past Best Actress Oscar winners Halle Berry, Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon have signed on to be presenters.  The show airs Sunday, February 24th on ABC.

It sounds like William Shatner would like a role in a "Star Wars" movie.  He hinted at it while jokingly blasting director J.J. Abrams for hogging both the "Star Wars" and "Star Trek" franchises.  He said, quote, "He's being a pig.  He's collecting the two franchises and holding them close to his vest.  He's probably the most talented director of that ilk that we have, but he's gone too far this time…and not employing me in either one of them is just foolhardy."

Rupert Grint…you know, Ron Weasley in the "Harry Potter" movies…has been cast in an upcoming CBS sitcom called "Super Clyde".  It's about a "meek, unassuming fast-food worker who decides to become a superhero."  Clyde has no ACTUAL super powers…he's just big comic book nerd.  The "superhero" part comes into play when he unexpectedly inherits $100,000 a month from a dead uncle, and he decides to use the money for good.  It sounds like the show is in the running to make CBS' schedule this fall.

Robin Roberts is talking for the first time about how terrible she felt following her bone marrow transplant last September. Roberts tells People there was a point, “where I felt like I was dying.” Although she knew her sister’s bone marrow was going to help her get better, it initially made her sick. “I couldn’t eat or drink. I couldn’t even get out of bed,” she said. “I was in a coma-like state. I truly felt like I was slipping away…then I kept hearing my name.” Roberts is due back at Good Morning America on February 20th and says she’s finally getting back to normal. She explained, “It’s an amazing feeling, each day feeling stronger.”

Harry Potter is getting a facelift. On Wednesday, Scholastic, which publishes the J.K. Rowling books, unveiled a new cover for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, the first of seven new covers that will start appearing on paperback editions in September. The covers are designed by author and illustrator Kazu Kibuishi, best known for the graphic novel series Amulet. The release of the new covers, which depict a scene from each novel, will mark the 15th anniversary of the U.S. publication of Sorcerer’s Stone, the first book in the best-selling series.
