ABC revealed the official cast of the 16th season of "Dancing with the Stars" on "Good Morning America" yesterday…and once again, it's pretty underwhelming. That's partially because most of the names had already been leaked, and partially because the definition of "stars" has been stretched even thinner than ever before. Here’s your dancers…
Andy Dick
Comedian D.L. Hughley
Country singer Wynonna Judd
18-year-old Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman
Olympic figure skater Dorothy Hamill
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones
Boxer Victor Ortiz
"Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Lisa Vanderpump
Disney Channel's "Shake It Up" star Zendaya Coleman
"General Hospital" star Ingo Rademacher
Country singer (slash) one-time "American Idol" finalist Kellie Pickler
Here’s what’s funny about her… Kellie’s grandfather said she'd no longer be "his favorite" if she turned down "Dancing With the Stars" so she said yes, even though she'll also be recording her next album at the same time! It's going to be exhausting, but I can do it."
"Dancing with the Stars" premieres on Monday, March 18th.
Noticeably absent from yesterday’s Dancing with the Stars announcement was the name Maksim Chmerkovskiy. When asked about the omission, a rep for ABC said, “We frequently rotate the professional dancers, so it’s not unusual for them to rest a cycle.” But it sure sounds like Maks is gone for good. "I just want to set the record straight to all of my amazing fans that I will unfortunately not be returning for this season of Dancing With the Stars," he said in a statement. "I've been a pro dancer on the show for about seven years now and am eager to explore other opportunities that have been made possible because of Dancing With the Stars. I'm going to take this time to dive into producing and acting, while fulfilling my sponsorship obligations." He added, “A big thank you to all of my fans for your never-ending support."
One a side note….Derek and Julianne Hough from "Dancing with the Stars" are executive producing a show called "Blackpool" for Starz. It will supposedly explore, quote, "the darker side of the glamorous world of ballroom dance."
Don't expect to see Seth MacFarlane hosting the Oscars again next year. Someone asked him about it on Twitter and he said, quote, "No way. Lotta fun to have done it, though."
Richard Simmons was on "Access Hollywood Live" yesterday, and it was wild. He did terrible Indian and Southern accents and seemed to mock Asian people by putting a bowl on his head and squinting his eyes. He also literally drooled at Maks Chmerkovskiy…he sang…did a strange pose on the back of a couch…and licked the tattoos of one of the show's cameramen. Even weirder, there were sudden dramatic mood shifts. Richard not only got serious when talking about people struggling with obesity he actually started tearing up. There's video on AccessHollywood.com. It's at the 1:10 mark.
If you had a choice between "Girls" star Lena Dunham and any of the following women: Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian, Taylor Swift, Jessica Chastain or Jessica Biel…who would you choose? If you picked any of those girls over Lena, you'd be wrong. And that's not opinion…it’s science. Dr. Kendra Schmid…an assistant professor of biostatistics at the University of Nebraska Medical Center…created a formula that rates attractiveness. It's based on 29 different points on the face, and takes into account everything from the thickness of the lips to the length of the nose to the space between the eyes…awarding a score of zero to 10.
And with a 6.82, Lena scored higher than ANY of those women.
But when it comes to the most attractive celebrity of them all, no one even comes close to Brad Pitt, who's a 9.67 out of 10.
The next-highest man on the list is Ryan Gosling, with a 7.31. George Clooney only got a 6.77. Angelina Jolie only got a 7.13. That’s just barely ahead of Lena Dunham.
Dr. Schmid says us normal folks usually score around a 4 or 5, while celebrities rarely score below 6.
Carrie Fisher was hospitalized last week, following a performance on a cruise ship that left spectators thinking she was drunk. Carrie was booked as a surprise celebrity guest on the Caribbean cruise, but when she hit the stage, she was a little off her game. She trotted around the stage and sang but not very well. And in the middle of one song she bent over to clean the stage after her dog decided to use it as a bathroom. Here's video. Carrie's rep admits she was hospitalized after the incident, but not because she was drinking. Here's the official statement quote, "There was a medical incident related to Carrie Fisher's bipolar disorder. "She went to the hospital briefly to adjust her medication and is feeling much better now."
Bobby Brown has been sentenced to 55 days in jail and four years probation for his latest DUI arrest. Bobby was busted last October, and pleaded no contest. He also has to complete an 18-month alcohol program. Bobby had a previous DUI conviction earlier in the year, and one all the way back in 1996.We all know that actors and actresses who play high schoolers in movies are usually too old to actually BE in high school. In a purely unscientific study, the website CollegeHumor.com has determined that the average age of people who portray high school students in film is between 21 and 22.
They sampled 60 teen movies.
Here are a couple other interesting facts:
The YOUNGEST person to play a high schooler in those films was Corey Haim in the 1986 movie "Lucas". He was 14.
On the other end of the spectrum, Stockard Channing was 34 when she played Rizzo in "Grease" in 1978.

Barbara Walters is returning to "The View" next Monday. She says, quote, "Like it or not, I'm coming back on the show again. No more chickenpox. I haven't been contagious for a while, but they wanted me to have rest…and I'm ready to come back."
Here’s your chance to own Oscar history. Part of the wardrobe worn by Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper in Silver Linings Playbook is up for grabs. Nate Sanders Auctions of Los Angeles is selling portions of their costumes. Today is the final day for bidding.
Several of Bradley’s shirts are available. Bids start at 100. It will take much more dough to win the bidding on Jennifer's costumes. Her stylish black wool jacket is currently at 800. Or, if you don’t mind the sweat stains and the 1,200 price tag, there’s the racerback blue sports bra that Jennifer wore in the dance studio scenes. Special bonus, it probably has some of co-star Bradley Cooper’s sweat on it, too. Or his drool.
Who is the most precious celebrity child? According to a new report, it would have to be Suri Cruise. Security has been beefed up for the daughter of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise since their divorce. They’ve gone overboard with a body double for Suri to fool potential kidnappers and the paparazzi. The look-alike was employed last Friday in a scheme to ditch the photographers so Suri and Katie could enjoy a peaceful lunch. The other 6-year-old girl wore the same black leggings, puffy coat, Ugg boots and ribbon in her hair that Suri wore on Friday.
