Gwyneth Paltrow, aka The Most Hated Celebrity in Hollywood…has just one guilty pleasure. She tells "Harper's Bazaar" that it's, quote, "My one light American Spirit [cigarette] that I smoke once a week, on Saturday night." Gwyneth also admits she gets a little work done on her face, but she'll never try Botox again…quote, "I use organic products, but I get lasers. He says, quote, "We're all so overpaid. It's ridiculous. People stopped going to concerts because they can't afford them. The Rolling Stones are charging $650 per ticket! That just makes me speechless. I love the Stones, but I won't be attending."
Lindsay Lohan stayed true to character and arrived very, very late to the premiere of Scary Movie 5. The red carpet had been rolled up 30 minutes earlier, but her only remaining friend…Charlie Sheen…waited outside for her like a puppy would its master. They posed for a few photos, then rushed in just as the theater lights were dimming. The murmuring crowd was clearly irate and greeted Lindsay to a chorus of boos. Charlie and Linds have a complex relationship. He’s her biggest booster, but not afraid to tell tales about her misbehavior— tardiness and petty theft. After he spilled the beans to Jay Leno this week, Lindsay reportedly threatened him with a text, which essentially reminded Charlie that she’s fully capable of playing the "kiss and tell" game.
It’s just not a line, Tom Cruise owns Hollywood. Now, and for hundreds of years. This according to an ancestry chart presented to the actor while in Ireland promoting his latest movie, Oblivion. He sat down with Jimmy Kimmel last night to tell the story. The Cruise family name goes back to the 800's (9th Century) in Northern Ireland. His ancestors, lorded over much of the land, and even owned—no joking—a town called Hollywood. So consider it destiny that Tom Cruise would arrive in Hollywood (California) and become the biggest movie star of his generation.

Remember the website Vote for the Worst.com. Looks like they’re at it again. On American Idol this season, there’s a kid named Lazaro who’s…well…lets just say, not that great. Some say that he may be one of the worst singers who’s made it this far on Idol. His army of fans are attempting to propel him into the finals with (very likely) Candice Glover. Last week after being criticized for a week performance, he found himself amongst the top three. Last night, the judges pummeled him again for making a painful key change. Randy Jackson put it bluntly (quote) “Yo. Wow. That's the worst performance you've ever had.” But if history repeats, Lazaro avoid elimination. We’ll find out tonight. Also tonight, Kelly Clarkson and Scotty McCreery will be performing.

Justin Timberlake performed for Barack and Michelle Obama at a White House event on Tuesday night, to celebrate Memphis soul music. He sang Otis Redding’s "(Sittin' on) the Dock of the Bay"...and got everyone to join in at the end, including Obama. The full concert airs next Tuesday on PBS. (Here's video. He asks the President join in at the 4:00 mark. Obama DOES SING, or at least he mouths the words . . . but unfortunately he wasn't mic'd, so you can't actually hear him.)
Despite becoming pregnant at age 46, Halle Berry has no intentions of slowing down. She tells E! News, (quote) “Well, one thing is for sure: I better keep working! With another baby on the way, Mama cannot take time off. I don't think being a mother now should affect my choices as an artist.” Meanwhile, Halle is denying an Us Weekly report that claimed she and fiancé Olivier Martinez have signed a prenatal agreement in which he agreed to pay her child support should they ever break up. Berry’s lawyer Steve Kolodny tells TMZ there currently is no deal, and one hasn’t even been discussed.

It's been six long weeks, I have to say, and boy has it taken its toll. It's the hardest thing I've ever done.”
We all pretty much knew that Katie Holmes blindsided Tom Cruise when she left him…and Tom admits that in a new interview with a German TV station. He says, quote, "I didn't expect that." Tom turned 50 right around the time of the breakup and he says, quote, "Life is a challenge. "Literacy" and "Twitter" are two things that don't normally go together. But some people actually put some EFFORT into their online grammar. The website Buzzfeed.com took the 10 most-followed celebrities on Twitter and ran their last 10 Tweets through an online "readability calculator", in order to determine the grade level their grammar would be appropriate for. They took into consideration such factors as word length and sentence complexity and obviously they removed all the hashtags, links and "at" symbols first.
President Obama came out first, followed closely by Katy Perry and then Lady Gaga. Obama's Tweets scored just over a sixth-grade reading level. Katy and Gaga were just under. And, coming in dead last was Justin Bieber…wha failed to reach even a first grade level.

She's apparently determined to make Tom her next romantic conquest. According to an anonymous source quoted in the Enquirer, Julianne has hatched a scheme to win Tom’s heart. (quote) “She’s combing through scripts for movie projects that would reunite her with Tom.” A friend expects we’ll see them dating in the near future and it would only be matter of time before he pops the question.
Annette Funicello…one of the original Mouseketeers on the "Mickey Mouse Club" in the 1950s…died yesterday after a long battle with multiple sclerosis. She was 70 years old. She had been in a coma, and her family made the decision to take her off life support yesterday. In the 1970s, she backed off her showbiz career to raise a family…but she also starred in a series of commercials for Skippy peanut butter. Sadly, her last years were not happy. She lost the ability to walk in 2004, and the ability to speak in 2009.Annette is survived by her second husband Glen Holt, and three adult children from her first marriage.
Just like Annette, Brittney Spears launched her career on the "Mickey Mouse Club". So when the paparazzi caught up with Britney yesterday, it's no surprise that they asked her how she felt about Annette's death. But her answer WAS a surprise. Because she said, quote, "I think that's great.” But she didn't really hear the question. She was just blowing them off. She later Tweeted, quote, "Misheard a question I was asked earlier by press while I was out and about. I am DEVASTATED to hear about the passing of Annette Funicello."

Just so we're clear: Cher's still alive.

Pairing up Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan as cohosts for Sunday's ACM Awards really did pay off for CBS. The show scored its highest ratings since 1998. 15.38 million people watched, which was 2.29 million more than last year's show.
Remember last year when Blake Shelton told his manager Brandon Blackstock to get his head out of his backside and propose to Kelly Clarkson? And then he sweetened the deal by promising to sing at their wedding. Brandon accepted the deal and proposed to Kelly soon after. Well, Kelly told "ET" that not only is Blake singing at the ceremony…but he's also going to officiate the wedding. Unfortunately, they still haven't set a date.

Naturally, there was speculation that he'd fallen off the wagon, but Richie said he was "well," and just had to deal with "a personal matter." Well, the "New York Post" claims he IS drinking like crazy again. A so-called "insider" says, quote, "Jon has been trying to get rid of him. He drinks constantly and has a stream of Hollywood bimbos around all the time…he really is a hard partier, and so are the women he hangs out with." There was also talk that Jon and Richie had a falling out, and that may have played a role, too. The "Post" says Jon's wife Dorothea "urged" Jon to give Richie the boot in order to keep the show free of drugs and alcohol.
It’s become commonplace for married people to hyphenate their last names. And it’s become even more common for a woman to keep her maiden name. But Jennifer Garner wants to bring it back to the old school by taking her husband Ben Affleck’s name for good. The couple, who are also parents, admit that marriage is work, but it’s the “best kind of work.” And Jen is going to stand by her man on a whole new level by ditching the “Garner” and going “full Affleck.” Looks like she’s finally taking on a new "Alias."

Maybe Halle Berry’s freak-out on the paparazzi last week was brought on by hormones…because she's pregnant! She and Olivier Martinez are expecting a child. They didn’t give anymore details. But of course the tabloids are jumping in with details…whether they are true or not…Sources say they are having a boy and that Halle is three months along. This will be Olivier's first child. Do you ever wish celebrities looked a little more like us…you know, double-chinned, baggy-eyed and with less-than-perfect hair and makeup? Well, that's what Photoshop is for. The best of the bunch have to be the Beckhams, Johnny Depp and Jennifer Lopez, Tom Cruise and Brittney Spears. Click here to see the pics.

Jonathan Knight abruptly walked out on a New Kids on the Block concert in New York last Thursday. Jonathan looked uncomfortable from the beginning of the show. He hung out by himself behind the group as they were performing, and at one point, he even checked his phone in the middle of a song. About halfway through their hour-long set, New Kids launched into their new song "Survive You". Jonathan has a solo in it…but when it came time, he couldn't get the words out. He walked off the stage shaking his head. He later tweeted “I’m sorry” with no other explanation. The general consensus is that Jonathan just had a panic attack, and everything is COOL with the group . . . because he was back with New Kids when they performed on the "Today" show on Friday.

It's unclear if Leno actually WANTS to retire…but NBC did give him the option of continuing until his contract is up in September of NEXT year, but Leno liked the idea of using the hype around the Olympics to give him a proper send-off, and to promote Fallon's takeover. Also, as rumored the "Tonight Show" will be moving from Los Angeles to New York. There's no official word who will replace Fallon on "Late Night", but there's been talk that "Saturday Night Live's" Seth Meyers may be at the top of the list.
Remember during the Oscars, when Ben Affleck gave his acceptance speech and gave a shout-out to his wife Jennifer Garner? He said, quote, "I want to thank you for working on our marriage for 10 Christmases. It's good. It is work, but the best kind of work and there's no one I'd rather work with." A lot of people thought he was admitting that they were having marital problems. But Jennifer says that's NOT the case. She says, quote, "I know Ben, I knew he meant it as the hugest, warmest compliment in the world. "I think he was saying, 'Look, what we have is really real and I value it above all and I'm in it with you and I know you are in it with me.' That's the way I took it. But she admits that even a friend of hers called to see if her marriage was okay.

Taylor Swift’s "22" video is all about being, well, 22 years old. So, surprise somebody did a parody called "32". I don't need to tell you what that one's about.
Bon Jovi is hitting the Pepsi Center April 16th…they’ll be without a key player tho. Guitarist Richie Sambora has left the band's current tour. A statement posted on their site says, quote, "Due to personal issues, Richie will not be performing on this upcoming leg. All shows will go on as scheduled." They didn't elaborate . . . so naturally, there's talk that he may have fallen off the wagon again. Two years ago, Richie skipped 13 shows to go to rehab for alcoholism. It was his THIRD stint in rehab. But maybe not…yesterday, Richie Tweeted, quote, "Thank you everyone for your concern. I'm well, but had to stay in L.A. to take care of a personal matter. Love you all and see you very soon." Meanwhile, TMZ says Richie is CLEAN…and this is about a "war" that has "exploded" between Richie and Jon Bon Jovi. Supposedly, they're fighting over money, and Richie is upset because he thinks Jon treats him like crap.
If you can’t wait for the Hunger Games sequel…Catching Fire…a new trailer for the movie will premiere during the "MTV Movie Awards" on April 14th. If you're seriously desperate to see it, we have a promo for the trailer that includes a few seconds of footage. (--Check it out here. The movie comes out in November.)
In a recent interview with "Entertainment Tonight", Harrison Ford talked about filming his part in "Anchorman 2". He called the experience "bizarre", then proceeded to forget his co-stars' names. He said his scene didn't include the whole cast, just, quote, "What's-his-name and the applesauce girl." He was referring to Will Ferrell and Christina Applegate, of course. It sounds like Harrison's part is pretty small, because he also said it only took a day to film, and that if they didn't like it, quote, "it'd be easy enough to cut out. I don't think it's critical."
Carrie Underwood is madly in love. So much so that she would do just about anything for her husband Mike Fisher…and that includes giving up her career. Carrie told "People", quote, "If Mike ever told me he needed me to quit, I'd quit. "When you make that promise to somebody, and you stand before God and your family and friends, you've got to do everything that you possibly can to make that work." There's one thing Carrie already does for Mike that I KNOW makes him happy. At least it better. She does whatever it takes to make sure she's "hot." Carrie said, quote, "Even when he's like, 'I'm so out of shape,' he still has a six-pack. Having Mike there…I want to be a hot wife!"
Country music star Wynonna Judd was the season’s first star to get voted out of the ballroom last night on Dancing With the Stars. In leaving, she said, “I’m a singer, not a dancer, and I did the best I could,” adding that she was eager to get back to making music. Andy Dick joined Judd in the Bottom Two after Monday’s Prom Night-themed performances. By the way….This weeks Prom King and Queen were Jacoby Jones and Zendaya. Huey Lewis and the News performed their classic "The Heart of Rock and Roll."
John Mayer was on Ellen yesterday…he admitted that he's no longer dating Katy Perry…but that's about all he'd say about it. He told Ellen, quote, "Listen, it was a very private relationship going in. It was a private relationship during, and it's a private relationship, still." He added, quote, "I can understand asking the question based on some previous answers I have given, but I have finally learned how to put the wall between one thing and the other. “Coupling is a tricky thing. It's a tricky thing. I want everyone to be happy." You have to check out the video just to see the goofy cowboy hat.
Also on the show yesterday, Ellen announced yesterday that the "Finding Nemo" sequel is officially in the works…and it's called "Finding Dory". Sadly, it won't be in theaters until 2015. She said, quote, "I read the script and it's fantastic, it's hilarious, it's warm, it's everything that you want it to be…It's got a lot of heart, it's really funny, and the best part is, it's got a lot more Dory." (--Here's video of the announcement.)
Halle Berry went Ballistic on the paparazzi for swarming her and her fiancé Olivier Martinez as they were carrying her daughter Nahla through the Los Angeles airport. She even shoved a photographer and screamed at him. But then she had to restrain Olivier when he tried to go after the guy. Click here to see the video.
Conan O’Brien crashed a wedding in Atlanta this past Saturday. It all started when one of the bridesmaids found out that Conan was staying at the same hotel where the wedding was being held. She Tweeted Conan an invite just for the heck of it, and he actually showed. A source says he joked around a little, did his "string dance", chatted with the bride and groom and showed them pictures of his wife and kids. He also ordered a whiskey cocktail, but "politely refused" a lemon drop shot. He stayed for about an hour, and a source says he was, quote, "cool and approachable and the nicest guy in the world."
Trouble for Lamar Odom… ESPN's "Outside the Lines" says that his cancer charity has raised $2.2 million since he started it in 2004, yet it hasn't given a DIME to cancer causes. It's mostly been used to fund two elite youth basketball travel teams. When ESPN asked Lamar about how the charity is dispersing its funds, he told them, quote, "It's my money." Unfortunately for Lamar, that's not necessarily true. If his charity is spending on things that are not consistent with its stated mission, that could violate tax law…which means he could run afoul of the IRS or a state attorney general. Could any of this controversy blow back on Lamar's wife Khloe Kardashian? Probably. She's done plenty to help Lamar raise money for Cathy's Kids. However…Khloe's rep says Lamar contributed almost ALL the money that was raised by Cathy's Kids, that no charitable funds were misused, and that, quote, "the IRS has repeatedly given Cathy's Kids a clean bill of health."
A while back, we heard NBC had a game show in the pipeline called "Hollywood Game Night", where everyday people would play games with celebrities. It sounded a little like an elaborate version of "Win, Lose or Draw". Well, now they've announced some of the stars who are participating in this thing. The list includes: Amy Poehler, Matthew Perry, Jason Bateman, Maya Rudolph, Minnie Driver, Martin Short . Kristin Chenoweth plus more celebrities are expected to join later on. Jane Lynch is hosting the show, and Sean Hayes from "Will & Grace" is producing it. Sean said the show would feature off-beat games like, quote, "Putting Michael Jackson's faces in chronological order." There's no premiere date yet.
A few months back, Meat Loaf said he'd RETIRE from touring after one last run of dates in Europe this spring. (--He's doing eight shows, beginning this Friday.) Meat Loaf is 65 years old, and has dealt with some health problems in recent years. He admits that he doesn't have the physique to handle any more touring. He says, quote, "This is really it…I just don't want to travel anymore. I outweigh (Mick) Jagger by about 100 pounds. That counts for something. He hasn't seen the wear and tear." (Jagger is 69.)
It was Prom night on Dancing with the Stars! The judges loved Kellie Pickler...they weren't to fond of Wynonna's performance. Check it out...
Yesterday was April Fools Day…and some celebs pulled some pranks. Snooki announced on Twitter that she and her baby-daddy Jionni eloped. Justin Bieber Tweeted a phone number that was supposedly his, and said he was taking calls from his fans. But the number was actually TMZ's toll-free tip line. Mike Tyson Tweeted that he was at the doctor's office getting his face tattoo removed. On “The Talk” yesterday, Sharon Osbourne "announced" that she's pregnant. She later revealed that she was joking. (--Here's video.)
Lindsay Lohan was willing to accept a stint in rehab as part of her recent plea deal, but on one condition. She’d only agree to go if the facility would allow her to continue taking Adderall. Adderall is prescribed to treat ADHD, and Lindsay has allegedly been taking it for years. Insiders say Lindsay insisted she’d rather take her chances with a trial than have her Adderall taken away. Those close to Lindsay think this is a bad deal, since many believe it was Adderall that led to her downfall. Meanwhile, Lindsay will appear on "The Late Show with David Letterman" a week from tonight. It'll be her first time in six years. Her appearance on Charlie Sheen's "Anger Management" airs two nights later.
Barbara Walters refused to confirm reports that she plans to retire in May, 2014. In her first appearance on The View since the story broke, Barbara seemed upset by the rumors. On the show she said "here I am, and I have no announcements to make." She then added, "I do want to say this, that if and when I might have an announcement to make, I would do it on this program, I promise, and the paparazzi guys, you will be the last to know.”
Jay Leno and Jimmy Fallon teamed up to address the "Tonight Show" speculation last night…in a special skit that aired between their shows. After the "Tonight Show", there was a scripted segment where Fallon gets a call from Leno, who pops up as, quote, "Host of Tonight Show" on Fallon's caller ID. Fallon asks how Leno has been holding up…and he replies, quote, "I'll live. I've been through this before, you know. Gotta admit, I'm getting a little sick of all this." Then Leno tells Fallon they're still friends…and they launch into a song, set to the tune of "Tonight" from "West Side Story". (--There's video on LateNightWithJimmyFallon.com.)
Jimmy Kimmel joked about the situation too. He began his monologue with the line, quote, "I'm here to tell you 'The Tonight Show' has been canceled. Oh, April Fools!" Oh and Conan O’Brien’s talk show on TBS has been renewed through November of 2015.
The Academy of Country Music awards air on Sunday. Some details coming out about the show that might make it interesting to watch. They’re opening up the show with a performance by Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Brad Paisley and Sheryl Crow. Another combination during the awards…Tim McGraw singing with Taylor Swift with Keith Urban on Guitar. And this one is out of nowhere but might be fun. Hunter Hayes and Stevie Wonder will be performing one of Stevie’s songs.
Hosting this year is Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan.
It’s hard to believe a story on April Fools’ Day about Heidi Klum saving three drowning victims, although it’s being reported widely. The super model apparently became a super hero and rescued her seven-year-old son Henry when he got trapped in a strong rip current on the shores of Hawaii. His two nannies were swept out to sea, as well. US Weekly got an exclusive comment from the super mom. (quote) “We got pulled into the ocean by a big wave. Of course, as a mother, I was very scared for my child. We were able to get everyone out safely.”
