Rich Brown: City of Colorado Springs boundaries of the fire are 100% contained.

As of Monday night, the entire fire remains at 70% containment and now the date of full containment is being pushed up. Currently over 1,500 fire fighters working, 5 minor heat-related injuries, and 17,920 acres have burned. We could see 100% containment by July 12th.

Hot spots exist in burned areas on Blodgett Peak. Firefighters are aware and they may continue for some time.

Springs Utilities: made tremendous amount of progress in relighting pilot lights in Oak Valley Ranch and Peregrine. 1,050 customers are back in service. By the end of tomorrow almost 3,000 + customers will be back. 333 additional families will get to go home today.

At 6 p.m. tonight, more mandatory evacuations will be lifted. On Thursday from 9-4 residents and insurance adjusters in areas that are still on evacuation notices will be able to get to their properties. Check in at the Verizon building to head in to the area.
